Our Projects
We face various challenges taking care of the growing number of orphans in our care.
Many of the children have health challenges – some of them are epileptic, some are living with HIV / AIDS, and there are others who are physically and mentally challenged. We are working on various initiatives to provide better assistance to the varying needs of our orphans and vulnerable children.
School & Educational Facilities
We aim to facilitate the education of these children with the construction of our own school premises comprising a nursery, primary and secondary school. The cost of this project has been estimated at N300,000,000 (three hundred million naira) including the preparation of the building plans.
Transportation & Logistics
Working with the large number of children under our care presents challenges, especially in the area of transportation. We frequently need to transport some or all of the children for various reasons, including medical treatment and checkups, to attend classes and receive education, and for various other purposes. At present we have very limited means of transportation which often frustrates our efforts at meeting these basic needs of the children.
How You Can Help
We are appealing to people of goodwill to come to our aid and assist us in our mission to give sound education and proper rehabilitation to the orphans and less privileged.
You can support us in the following ways:
- Provision of vehicles and transportation arrangements – You can donate vehicles or buses to ease our transportation difficulties. You can also make contributions to help us towards their purchase.
- Contributions towards our construction projects – You can buy or contribute building materials or sponsor parts of the building project, including classrooms, blocks or individual buildings. You can also build a hostel for the foundation in your locality or state of choice, and enable us expand our operations in that location.
- Sponsoring one or more children – As a willing sponsor, you can authorize us to register one or more children in your name and you will become responsible for their school fees and expenses. You can contribute weekly or monthly towards the feeding of-these less privileged members of the mystical body Of Christ. No amount is too small. You can also contribute monthly towards the healthcare of one or more children. And you can sponsor the training of our youths in any professional skill or career.
- Volunteer/Offer your services – We welcome the offer of free medical services if you are a medical personnel. You can serve as a volunteer staff in any area and render required services with little or no charge.
- Donation of useful items – You can donate household items such as beds, mattresses, kitchen utensils, educational materials for children, computers, carpentry materials, sewing machines etc. All forms of donation are welcome.
- Visitation – You can visit the orphanage premises to pray with the children and cheer them up. We also welcome your beneficial ideas and suggestions concerning how we can improve our operations and reach our goals.
